Summary of the report prepared by the CAPE members
General Observations:
The period saw a notable number of vehicle-related thefts, both from and of vehicles, suggesting that this category remains a significant concern. Residential burglaries showed varied methods of entry and targeted several neighborhoods repeatedly. The emergence of robbery and sexual offenses, although low in number, adds to the spectrum of criminal activity in the area. These statistics indicate ongoing challenges in managing thefts and securing personal and property safety.
Burglary Residential
- Total Incidents: 11
- Noteworthy Incidents: These included various methods such as forcing doors, breaking glass panels, and one case involving suspects being scared off by an alarm.
Theft from Motor Vehicles
- Total Incidents: 14
- Items Stolen: Included tools, number plates, and personal belongings like wallets and blue badges. Specific incidents highlight repeated thefts from locations like The Mall N14 and Powys Lane N13.
Theft of Motor Vehicles
- Total Incidents: 13
- Details: Vehicles stolen ranged from luxury cars like Mercedes and Range Rover to more common models like Ford Transits and Nissan Jukes. Several vehicles were recovered at different locations, sometimes with false plates or no apparent damage.
Robbery
